A neat riff there, quite short tho. Perhaps you could develop more on that, it could be turned into a nice song or intro for something.

Nice, I found this one really relaxing, really liked the lyrics and the way they were performed. The way the song is build is very solid, but I had the feeling that it lacked something else, something to make the song special.

Overall, it is a very nice song, but lacks something so make it special.

(It went to the playlist btw, I really liked it).

This would have been a great series... I think.

Well... It came out!

Wow, this is great, the instrumental is build up solidly and your voice is just great! I also liked the new melody you gave it, simply great!

Damn, too bad you didn't finish this, because it's great, got a bit of a Pink Floyd feel. Reminded me of one of their old school songs that had like, half an hour.

Thanks. It's progressive rock.

When I started listening to the music box I was expecting something and got nearly the oposite. I mean, you picked something that has a real low key, with a slow tempo and a certain type of vibe and keep it's overall shape (nothing wrong with that); but the thing is that over that you added a beat with open high-hats, off-beat, a totally different vibe and the tempo doesn't even match the sample. The off-beats seem to fall off with the rest, and overall it just doesn't build itself solid.

If you're gonna use most of the sample as it is, then you should make a beat that matches hte rhythm of it and the overall vibe. With this sample, you should (and it's just my opinion) make a beat with smooth and slow drums, without any tricks and such, except for some turns and the ocasional single open high-hat as an off beat on the higher notes of the sample.

I'll give you half because the beat and the sample were well made, they just didn't match.

Real smooth, I'd put this to play on the background when I'm doing whatevs. Builds up a great vibe due to the dominance of those lower tones, great one!

CHgeri responds:

Thank your my man! Glad you like it :)

I think the snares give it sort of a military feel, but maybe that's what you were looking for. I like how it builds up the tension and makes use of it, I personaly would not use the snare there, perhaps something else to fill it, but it's a thing of personal preference, I don't like the snare much.

Taking my personal bias against the snare, I think it's great, but some instruments simply follow the main flow (including the one I named here so many times), maybe you should try to create an harmonic chaos: most instruments playing diferently but in complete harmony, helps to make the song sound more dramatic, theater composers have been doing this for ages.

Dunno if making something dramatic was your idea tho (but I figure it was, considering the name of the song).

I like it, has a nice feeling to it. Maybe it's just my movie person soul speaking, but I think it would do great in the soundtrack of a film, even got some scenes in my head.
