Nothing more scary than Tommy Wiseau and his high quality movie. So, I've never watched The Room entirely, only a few clips, but the way you delivered the references was quite clear.

I liked how the jokes are directed to both Tommy and Johnny, and I think they could be funny even for someone who doesn't know The Room. I also really liked the colours, they made it look like one of those old and cheesy horror movies.

Really liked the movie! But anyways, how's your sex life?

ChutneyGlaze responds:

You can thank the great ReviewTrickster for that! I'm so happy to have him as my best friend and I love Lisa so much...

This is very good, the models are well made and the action is also very well done.

The animation is very fluid at times, even if it could be smoother at some action-rich parts and and a bit more detailed. I mean, sometimes I had the feeling that it was running on less frames then it was supposed to, and the articulations feel a bit unnatural.

The slower pace is not really a problem, and neither really is the articulations. But if you want my advice, making the models larger will make it easier for you to do more detailed articulating.

What happens when you stick your cock into Mario Kart?

This animation is great, so I will spill out my only complaint about it first, so that I can talk mostly about how good this is. So, the voice audio was a bit on the bad side, not much, but it seemed a bit off at parts.

To the things I liked. Firstly, the character design is amazing, not only the two main characters, but also all of the background ones. Everyone has details that make them look genuine. Also, this goes beyond just the visual design of the characters. They have interesting and clear personalities that make them a lot more relatable to.

The action scenes are quite good and fluid, even if they may seem a bit too fast paced at times (which may make them get a bit confusing).

The idea of the plot is also nice, and taken lightly, which is good, as a theme like this one is usually approached in a very serious manner.

This isn't your song, this isn't your video and this isn't the place for you to share the songs of your favourite artists.

You're only supposed to share stuff that YOU created on Newgrounds.

It's short, and incomplete. I guess this is analogue to his life, in a way... Something that could have been anything, could have been more, but was left unfinished.

I'm not really sure how to rate this, due to the nature of this. So I think I'll leave my 5 here, any tribute is a good one.

Oh dude, this is for the Basement Jam, damn, good one.

Well, the animation is good and smooth enough. I think it could have used some shading and smoother lines in the art. The story is not too original, but it never fails to be touching.

I think you could have done a bit better about the soldier. He should feel afraid of his superior finding him hesitating to kill them, you could also have made him stutter a bit when telling his lie.

And I think that his grin in the end wasn't the right mood, he should look moved and touched by what he saw. Maybe you could have made him look thoughtful, as if he was questioning himself and the cause he fights for.

You know, if this wasn't just a part of another movie you already posted here, I would give something for a rating, there was some effort put into it, even if the final result is quite low quality.

Being just a re-post only with the first part cut-out, you ain't getting nothing. Chopping up something that you've already made isn't making something new.

"This is a conversation piece AND a foot stool!"

This episode is great, I like how it focuses more on Katy instead of Sublo and Tangy Mustard. Katy's Birthday also didn't have the full focus on them, but on this one Katy gets the spotlight. And talking about that episode, it's interesting to see how then they were just "some guys from work" and now it seems more like Katy sees them as friends, calling them to her art expo and all.

On this one we get to see a bit more of Katy's happy side. It is always interesting to see and explore different sides of the same character, Katy still seems stressed but is a lot less grumpy on this one. Different from most episodes she finishes this one on a good mood instead of being mad with something.

I found it really funny how you made all of Katy's art pieces look like "wee-wees". Well, except for the hot-dog, but then again, it's a hot-dog.

Well, so this is the last review for now. The first time I watched this series I saw some really interesting and well done writing, stuff that I could learn from, and I decided to talk about them. As you may have noticed, I focused on writing, that's where I have more knowledge, but there is plenty more to be said about this show. I could have talked about the great animation, the interesting and nice art style, the soundtrack, the fact that you're using Flash for all this and even the amazing voice acting. But honestly, if I would write about all that is great about Sublo And Tangy Mustard, I would end up writing a magazine sized article (and I think that my reviews are already quite long, so I won't do it).

If only I wasn't broke I would support this on Patreon. But expect that on a near future (converting my countrie's currency into dolar is also a bit of a wallet-ache, so that also makes hard).

Aaron-Long responds:

Yeah I want it to gradually feel like Katy is becoming friends with them over the course of the series. Thanks a lot for these reviews! They're very thorough and insightful. I hope you write more when I put out more episodes, because I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on the show.

"That was the oatbread."

This one is rather short, and it leaves a bit of a feeling that it is incomplete. I think it might have been due to the fact that all the other episodes are longer and have a three arc format, which this one lacks. I can't help but think this one is the odd one out.

But not that there's anything wrong with it, it's perfect actually. It is a well writen one joke short. But then again, shorts aren't a thing usual to this series, and so it feels a bit weird and underwhelming.

On the other hand, I think it would be a great idea to make more Sublo And Tangy Mustard shorts. They are a fun and quick laugh. And making more shorts would deliver the problem of them being weird, as they would turn into something usual.

Aaron-Long responds:

One advantage of doing a show independently is that I'm not stuck to one particular length... but I can understand people feeling cheated by something as short as this. I look at it like this-- would you rather get a few long episodes, or the same amount of long ones AND some bonus shorts? It's not like they're taking the place of a bigger episode.
