This one is awesome. It feels a lot like a classic text game, simple and full of adventure. This game is short and entertaining, exactly what a Crypt Shyfter game is supposed to be like.

You know, I just picked the game up and played it while I was doing nothing. I finished it in a few minutes, and it kept me entertained while I could be bored. I think this is what makes Crypt Shyfter so great, you know? You can just pick up, have fun and it's done!

u figured out the secret to crypt shyfter! u win 5 imaginary internet points :)

So, I really liked that ok this one you developed the personalities of the "band of Paladins", each has their own set of skills and that's really cool.

But I did think that the Shyfter and the rat plague felt a bit unrelated. Through most of the game it felt like I was trying to solve the plague problem, and in the end there was the Shyfter thing. But it just felt like it was there, just something that happened, unrelated to the rest.

CaptainJackTHAC0 responds:

gotta remember that for next time- ONE plot only! i think that was actually feedback I received on a previous game where I had multiple threads going on as well. thanks for sharing your thoughts on that :)

"What is this flower-power hand-holding horse shit!?"

Oh dude, this western ones are better then I expected them to be. I had a lot of fun, the story is very entertaining and it's really good at making the reader feel like a true badass gunslinger.

I like all this "Paladins" thing you have going on in these games, and I like to see the lore build up around them (I still have to play Misery, so here's hoping it will have more lore).

i really love writing the westerns! they feel so much more unique than classic medieval fantasy

It's a fun toss game, I think the art could be just a little bit more polished. The magic twists in the game were very nice, it is simple and fun. And the best thing is that it (aparently) can be played on mobile.

There is one problem tho. I was playing and my chicken hit the ground and just went right through it, it's gone down over -5000 and it doesn't look like it will stop. I imagine there must be more glitches.

In the end it is a very fun game, made in a style that isn't seen as much nowadays.

Ok, so here's my feedback.

This game is nice to play, I did it on my computer and think it would be much better on mobile. But I think it could use more variety, more different enemies and it would be nice if they did more to kill you then just trying to get to your side of the screen. Also, I only made to the 3rd level, but I fought the same boss twice, so I suppose it's the same all along, why not add more bossess? Also, an instructions screen wouldn't hurt, it could explain what to do and what each upgrade does.

Overall, I also think it could get some more polishing on... Pretty much everything. The gameplay could be a bit smoother, the art could get more details, and the game could have more effects to make it more pleasing to play. It has quite some potential.

It's fun, good for spending some time. The music is really good and makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

That said, this game could use a lot more polishing. For one, it could simply look better, it is too rough, and that is not because of the pixel style. Also, therre are some glitches, such as ding from coliding into an enemy that died a while ago and such. The music could use some better mastering.

Also, the game feels rather empty, the big enemy that shoots is just a black version of the yellow things you collect when you kill an enemy. All the other spaceships are just the same one in different colours. This game could also use more variety, in design and art.

Now wait, the developer of this game was actually called Newgrounds? With the tank and tankman? Is this real? Or is this a joke? I'm so confused.

Nice game btw, it's quite addictive and looks pretty good. The controls are quite weird and complicated, I supose it was the same for the original console version.

TomFulp responds:

The history behind the game is all pretend, it never actually existed before.

I remember playing this game a long time ago, though I might review it as well.

Most of the things that amazed the young me still do to this day. The character costumizations, the sheer amount of towns and places to, things to do. Overall I loved the fact that I could make my own story, the game didn't try to push me anything, I could be a trader, a peacdmaker, an enforcer, a bucanner, a bandit or even just a drifter. The art style is also very plesant and the music gives a nice feeling to it all.

There are some problems as well, the one that always bugged me is that I csn't really give a name to my character: whatever I type he will always be called "TEXTFORMAT", and in nearly 9 years of this game this has never been fixed. Another problem is that the frame rate drops dramatically when you are fighting or when there's too many things on screen. Also, the game can get a bit boring, you are alowed to do anything you want, but it doesn't get too imersive or interactive, so it isn't a game to play for hours straight.
